The Board

Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington – Chairman
Lord Stevens joined Quest after retiring as Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police in 2005. He has conducted major inquiries into security breaches in Northern Ireland, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and Premier League football transfers. He has established a reputation for thoroughness and independence.

Lloyd Dorfman – Deputy Chairman
Lloyd Dorfman is widely recognised for his entrepreneurial spirit and experience in successfully managing the growth of the Travelex Group. In addition to his role with Quest, Lloyd Dorfman is a non-Executive Director of M&C Saatchi plc, a Governor of St Paul’s School, a Patron and Deputy Chairman of The Prince’s Trust Development Board, a Chairman of the London Region of the Prince’s Trust, and an Honorary Fellow of St Peter’s College, Oxford.

Dick Andrews OBE – Chief Executive
Dick Andrews retired from the Army as a Brigadier after a career that focused on security and intelligence. In his final appointment, he served as liaison between the Ministry of Defence and the Northern Ireland Inquiry. He brings to Quest an extensive knowledge of security issues.

Nigel Layton – Managing Director
Nigel Layton’s involvement in several national and international fraud investigations, including the Maxwell affair whilst at Price Waterhouse (now PwC), led to the founding of Quest. In 2006-07, he conducted the Quest inquiry for the Premier League into alleged irregular player transfer payments. He has considerable experience across the spectrum of the corporate intelligence sector and is a member of the Institute of Professional Investigators and the Security Institute.

Sir Harry Solomon
Sir Harry, founder of Hillsdown Holdings plc, has been involved in Quest since 1999 and provides direction and strategic advice to the Board. He qualified and practised as a solicitor, and is currently a director of several companies both within the UK and abroad providing commercial expertise at the highest level.

Julian Jones ACA
Julian heads up our Forensic Accounting division and was appointed to the board in May 2008. Julian qualified with Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1994 and has spent the past 14 years providing forensic accounting services. Julian’s specialism lies in financial investigations and in expert witness accounting assignments. He has acted in complex fraud investigations, both in the civil and criminal arenas and has been appointed to conduct enquiries under section 447 of the Companies Act by the Department of Trade and Industry. Julian has worked on many high profile cases including in 2008, assisting the FA in the audit of the January Transfer Window and actions related to the collapse of Parmalat. 

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board provides top level expertise to support Quest in developing and delivering its services. Its members are leaders in their respective fields and provide independent advice to the Board.
